辽宋官印
<P> 宋代官印的尺寸也较大,这是沿袭隋唐以来官印的特点。因文多九叠篆,也叫上方大篆,九叠的“九"字在中国古代常常是代表多的意思,并非九的确数。一般小篆书体,往往有疏有密,结体不易布满。所以就把篆字笔画来回弯曲盘绕,使得四面充实,布白对称饱满,产生均匀整齐,具有装饰性的美感。另外,这种繁复重叠的印文又使人难以辨认,有防奸辨伪的作用,加上巨大的形制,配以比印文宽出三至四倍的粗边栏,显示出官府衙门的庄重整肃、森严而不容轻视的气势。另外“九"为数之终极,也有“乾元用九"的含义,以此暗示皇权的至高无上和“久远”,这种带有封建文化背景的印章形式,迎合了封建统治者的心态。所以,从宋元到明清时期的官印,一直沿用九叠篆印文。</P><P> 宋代的官印,字形清晰,易于辨认,从其叠篆格式看,虽较唐代进了一步,但却远未达到金元时期叠绕环曲,不留空隙的地步。这种官印本身就具有较强的艺术气质,加上当时铸印的匠师们以此为职业,在无数次的制作中,必然要发现盘曲环绕的文字的艺术美(其实任何一种形式都有其内在的艺术魅力,关键在于作者是不是善于去发掘和展示)再综合自己的艺思浸润进去,使美的东西得以升华，更有一些职位较低的官印，如“军资库印”等篆字极少盘曲，线条圆润浑厚、自然流畅，甚为可爱。因此宋代官印所具有的篆法自然流畅,讲究线条丰润圆通的独特风貌,蕴藏着无数工匠不自觉的审美情趣和追求,蕴藏着他们在长期实践中迸发出的艺术火花。在中国篆刻艺术史上,它完全能据占据一席之地。</P>
<P> 另外,值得一提的是宋代官印的款识,其字体凿刻得歪歪斜斜,自然朴拙,有的带有明显的落刀起刀、刀锋偏侧的特征;粗细顿拙变化多端,这些出自当时工匠之手的凿款,开了印章刻款的先河,这一形式的崛起和流行,打开了边款艺术的大门,成为印章艺术不可缺少的一个组成部分。这是宋代官印对篆刻艺术的一个不可磨灭的贡献。</P>
