元 李衍
<P>李衍（公元1254-1330年），字仲贤，号息齐道人。蓟丘（今北京人）。曾任江浙行省平章政事、吏部尚书、集贤院大学士、光禄大夫。座后追封“蓟国公”为元代画竹名家，初学王庭筠，后师法文同。著有《竹谱详绿》一书。</P>

<P> 此图画竹四株，前后左右交错，枝叶繁茂。下方小竹数株，怪古平坡。竹叶以墨色细加泻染，表现出阴阳向北背。湖石用浓淡墨晕出，玲珑多姿。构图匀称，笔法圆劲精整，设色淡雅。作者还通过碎石、枯枝等周围景物的描写，更加烘插出竹子“清高拔俗”的品格。未署款，画幅中部钤有“李衍仲贤”、“息齐”二印。
