李治（628-683）即唐高宗，书法家。字为善，太宗第九子，在位三十四年（650-683）。喜书法，北宋朱长文《墨池编》称其雅善真草隶飞白。唐代张彦远《法书要录》云：“龙朔二年四月上自为书与辽东诸将，谓许敬宗日：‘许圉师尝自爱书，可于朝堂开示。’圉师见，甚惊喜，私谓朝官日：‘圉师见古迹多矣，魏晋以后，惟称二王；然逸少多力而丑，子敬妍而少力。今观圣迹，兼绝二王。”不免溢美。传世书迹见《淳化阁帖》。</P>
