魏了翁
魏了翁（1178-1237）南宋学者。字华父，号鹤山。邛州蒲江（今属四川）人。庆元进士。官至端明殿学士。反对佛老"无欲"之说，认为圣贤只言"寡欲"不言"无欲"，指出"虚无，道之害也"。推崇朱熹理学，但也怀疑朱注各经是否完全可靠。提出"心者人之太极，而人心已又为天地之太极"，强高"心"的作用，又和陆九渊接近。菱有《鹤山全集》。
书法各体皆能，此帖是写给亲友的信札，巳有缺失。内容论及边防，朝廷事和自己进退的一些想法，书法行气贯通，草行相杂，清爽中有奇崛的意味。
