　　赵宦光（1559-1629）   字凡夫，又字水臣，号广平，又号寒山子。江苏吴人。精通文字学，工书，在篆书中掺入草书笔意，开“草篆”先河。《綦母潜诗句》其书法体在篆、隶之间，转折处有草意，较之篆书正体灵动活泼，生气勃勃，对后世邓石如等人生产了深刻影响。

朱简以赵宦光草篆入印，笔画起止多作牵丝状，碎刀短切，富有笔意，遂自成一家，后世有“明第一作手”的美誉。
