一九六○年二月生于北京。一九八四年毕业于中央美术学院中国画系。平生爱作山水中人，喜丹青，工书法，填小令，学短诗，更善执寸铁游刃于寿山、青田之中。著有《廿世纪中国画大系·陈平》、《费洼山庄画集》、《问故楼书法选》、《樗木堂印蜕》、《瓶龛诗草》、《新文人画集·陈平》多种。现为中国画研究院专业画家。
