黄炎培

　　黄炎培（1878—1965）号楚南、后改号韧之，任之。江苏川沙县人。
　　1902年考江南乡试中举，1903年因“诋毁清庭”被判死刑，脱难后亡命日本，1905年加入同盟会，曾任同盟会上海总干事。
　　辛亥革命中他参与策动江苏巡抚程德全起义。辛亥革命后曾任江苏省教育司长，后大力提倡职业教育。
　　“九·一八”后分出部分精力参与爱国救亡运动。抗战时期任历届国民参政会参政员，并任除一届一次大会外的各届驻会委员。
　　1941年参与发起“中国民主政团同盟”，任第一任主席，1945年访问延安，同年发起“民主建国会”。
　　全国解放后，历任政务院副总理兼轻工业部部长，全国人民代表大会副委员长，中国人民政治协商会议全国委员会副主席，民主建国会主任委员，中华职业教育社理事长等职,1965年逝世。
